Delivery, Warranty & Returns

We try and give best estimates of expected delivery dates for all items but these are estimates and inevitably sometimes these will be missed.

If you are ordering a battery please select Standard delivery (£6 including VAT). Free delivery is unfortunately not available for batteries on orders under £100 because Royal Mail will not deliver these, sorry!

Next Day Delivery

Our standard next day delivery for orders under £100 excluding VAT (£120 including VAT) costs £5 (£6 including VAT) and to most areas will be shipped with DHL who will attempt deliver to you on the next working day. In some areas such as Northern Ireland,  the Scottish highlands and islands and Shetland Islands Next Day Delivery is via Royal Mail Special Delivery and is not guaranteed. You should receive a text (if we have your mobile number) which will confirm the approximate time of delivery or an email with the Royal Mail or courier tracking number. Once your order is accepted it will be shipped either the same day if it is in stock and accepted before 2pm or shipped on the day it arrives in stock.

If the item you have ordered is out of stock we will email you with an approximate delivery date. Please note some manufacturers will not give accurate (or sometimes any) delivery dates in which case we will give you our best estimate.

If your order is urgent please double check stock levels with us before you order as actual stock levels may be lower than shown on the site (this is because we are only human – and mistakes happen!). Where an item is shown as in stock for next day delivery this applies to UK deliveries only, overseas deliveries will take longer, depending on the delivery method used.

Please note that Next Day delivery is on a best endeavour basis – no courier can guarantee this as it can be affected by various factors, for example adverse weather. We will normally ship all orders received and processed by 2pm Monday to Friday for next working day delivery (excluding items that are out of stock).

Tracking…

After your package has been despatched you will receive an email detailing the tracking number and instructions on how you can track your package. Please remember that from it can take several hours before our couriers log packages on to their systems, so you may not see any info when you first receive this email. Some overseas customers will be unable to track packages, or will have limited tracking option.

Orders shipped with Royal Mail by free delivery are not tracked but you will receive an email confirming that we have shipped.

Please Note…

Please note following changes in Royal Mail guidelines we can only ship laptop batteries to the UK at standard courier next day rates, for other countries please contact us for a shipping quote as these now have to go by courier – if you order without contacting us we will advise you of the extra charge before proceeding with your order.

All items shipped by courier must be signed for on delivery. If there is no one available during working hours to sign for a package UK customers should select the Free delivery or Royal Mail Special Delivery option, and you will be able to arrange delivery at a time to suit you, or collect the package from your local Post Office.

Why are Returns Conditions different for business, Trade and Education Accounts?

We always try to obtain the best possible pricing for all customers. Like all companies we incur costs in respect of returns. Distance Selling Regulations force us to spread those costs between all retail customers that are covered by them, which increases prices for everyone, however the Regulations do not apply to business, Trade and Education customers.

Obviously where we make a mistake you can expect us to sort it out. At the same time we recognise that business, Trade and Education customers will sometimes need to return parts that are not needed, perhaps because an order has been cancelled or perhaps they’ve ordered in error. Where this happens we ask that you work with us and share the costs incurred. We achieve this in several ways – by not refunding postage (which we are forced to do for retail customers), by applying a restocking fee where it is unlikely we will be able to resell or return the part, and by use of store credits rather than refunds.
